Why Product Reviews?

 Why Product Reviews?

While not all trends in B2C translate to B2B it is often easy to overlook the fact that many do.  The same scientists that are buying antibodies on your website are also buying headphones on Amazon.  Their online habits are being shaped by the sites that they interact with every day (the majority of which are B2C).  So when BrightLocal, an SEO agency specializing in local businesses, administered their 2015 Survey and found that 92% of respondents now read online reviews, it's not too much of a stretch to assume that this trend may hold for researchers too.

At Biocompare we have been putting a lot of effort into building up our product reviews and it seems to be paying off.  In 2015 we saw an increase of 11.4% over 2014 in visits to our reviews.  We have now over 250K visits a year from researchers interested in learning more about products before they purchase. And we expect that number to increase again in 2016.

So how can suppliers benefit from this? The easiest way is to get your products reviewed on Biocompare.  A recent article in SearchEngineLand (a blog devoted to search marketing) makes it clear that posting reviews on your website isn't nearly as valuable as linking to reviews on third party sites. "Customers want to read honest, unbiased reviews on third party sites." says Greg Gifford, Director of Search and Social at DealerOn, "They simply don't care (or trust) the reviews on your testimonials page."

Asking your customers to review products on Biocompare can help with your visibility and, since we pay $25 for each accepted review, the customer benefits too.  We even have email templates that you can use at no charge.  Ask your Biocompare Account Manager for more information on how we can help you get your products reviewed.
